Thought it would be difficult to assemble, but I did it myself in less than 20 minutes.

It's small enough to light up and adjust the temperature quickly, and I found it super easy to dial in and maintain my desired temperature. I use my Big Green Egg Chunk charcoal in it, and often put a piece or two of hardwood in there to add some smoky flavor to my steak/burger/pork chops/chicken breast.

We absolutely love our new Akron Kamado grill. Very easy to use and perfect for grilling. Not sure why we waited so long to order. 💖 Carlos Rodríguez Rodríguez.

This grill is by far the best grill I have owned and the first smoker I have ever owned. I took a long break from a charcoal grill to use a gas grill, and now that I'm back, I realize that I'm cheating myself and everyone I cook for. Cooking with charcoal imparts flavors that cannot be matched by a gas grill. The start time does require some extra planning, but it's worth it.

I built mine into a custom outdoor kitchen with Blackstone. I hope you like it!

The price is unbeatable. 90% as good or better than green eggs, but at 1/3 the price. Been using it to cook everything for months and couldn't be happier. A couple of my friends wanted one too after eating the ribs. Maintains an even temperature, but the only complaint is that there is very little difference between smoking at 225 degrees and extinguishing the fire. I've started smoking at 250 degrees since it's unlikely the fire will need to be re-lit.

I really can't say what I like best about it. It's better than any offset barrel smoker I've owned. It beats any gas stove or kettle I've ever used. It also gives you the added benefit of a convection oven. We make our own pizza, cornbread, desserts, cobbler, etc. The possibilities are endless.

I don't write many reviews, but I was very impressed. Take your time to figure it out, but if you're a smoker, you have to be patient. The stern learns to dial in and load fuel properly. I've made a few dishes with it, big beef ribs, baby vests, country ribs, chicken thighs, and a 14lb pork shoulder...it worked out great. Even my pork shoulder takes about 16 hours, but that's when I don't bring the meat to room temperature. Also built a custom table for it. But now I also want a Mini Akorn for tailgates and camping

Having never used one of these types of grills before, the heat generated was just a bit of a learning curve. Not the grill's fault at all... decided to try smoking a baby turkey for Thanksgiving. I'm looking at about 15 minutes per pound. 10 lb turkey 2 1/2 hours to cool...well I started the charcoal at 9am and put the turkey on about 20 minutes later I think I dialed it up..... .well it cranks up to 500 degrees. Checked it in about an hour and it was done. Thanksgiving breakfast anyone? :) Seriously though, this thing is awesome. I know what to do to slow down next time.
